All of Us Research Program
Launching the campaign for America's first precision medicine initiative.
One million people will change the way we think about health.
Diversity is a hot topic these days in all industries, and academic medical research is no exception. Last year, the National Institutes of Health formed the Precision Medicine Initiative, a program that seeks a more inclusive population of medical research participants. Now called the All of Us Research Program, this initiative is looking to recruit one million people for the nation's largest longitudinal medical research study by 2020.
Wondros was selected by NIH to design the participant and partner engagement experience, from the website to the mobile app to the asset portal. I was the first designer hired for this project.
Research and Strategy
Wondros uses a process called Ecology Modeling to form personas that serve as targets for our marketing strategies. The marketing team narrowed their focus onto the Ecology Modeling personas that were most likely to join the program. As a truly collaborative creative team, we created a branding system and marketing assets that speak to the altruism and optimism presented by those Ecology Modeling personas, embracing a "friendly neighbor" tone in all of our collateral.
EXECUTION AND RESULTS
My main contributions to the project were the creation of the logo "tag" block and positioning system for co-branded assets, as well as the grid formula for co-branded marketing collateral. I am also the primary presentation designer for the project, and I designed the first wave of social media pullquotes and quick facts as well.
The All of Us Research Program recently had its Alpha launch, with Beta scheduled for mid-summer. Close to 1000 people have already signed up, with thousands more expected by the end of the year.
